"Collect Hong Kong" 5 Key Art Event Highlights
22 Mar – 22 Mar, 2026
Hong Kong Arts Centre

In addition to the art fair, Collect Hong Kong Art Fair 2026 also hosts five key art events — masterclass, workshop, art dialogues, artist blind dating, and a hop-on hop-off art gallery bus tour! Beyond viewing art, enjoy a hands-on experience, get up close and personal with artists, and take flight on an inspiring artistic adventure!

Art Dialogue 1 - From Architects, Designers to Artists, Art Collectors

Everyone can be an artist/collector!

In this exchange session, we will share the personal journeys of individuals who transitioned from being architects and designers to becoming artists and art collectors: Why did they choose to become an artist / collector? In the process of artistic creation, what does "completion" mean to them? When collecting art, how do they assess and measure its value?

Date: 2026.03.22

Time: 16:30 - 18:00

Venue: Louis Koo Cinema, Hong Kong Arts Centre

Speakers: William Lim, Raymond Fung, Vincent Chan

Moderator: Gary Mok

The event will be conducted in Cantonese.

Art Dialogue 2 - Art Collecting 101: From Curious Viewer to Confident Collector

Art collecting goes far beyond buying and selling. It reflects the vitality of the art world and reveals personal taste, style, and life attitude. Art Collecting 101 explores the inner drive behind collecting and the meaning of passing art down through generations.

Date: 2026.03.22

Time: 14:00-15:30

Venue: Louis Koo Cinema, Hong Kong Arts Centre

Speakers: Sylvia Wang, Felix Kwok, Lam Sha Chau

Moderator: Gary Mok

The event will be conducted in Cantonese.

Art Dialogue 3 - The Cross-generation Legacy of Hong Kong Contemporary Art

From the perspectives of art museums, public art, art education, and curatorial practice, we will engage in discussion with veteran artists Eddie Lui Fung-ngar, Lam Yuk-fai, and Wong Shun-kit on the cross-generational transformations and inheritance of contemporary art in Hong Kong.

Date: 2026.03.29

Time: 14:30-16:00

Venue: Louis Koo Cinema, Hong Kong Arts Centre

Speakers: Eddie Lui, Lam Yuk Fai, Wong Shun Kit

Moderator: Gary Mok

The event will be conducted in Cantonese.

Art of Possibility - Transform Aluminium Can into Art

Following artist Noah's guidance, we only need two thumbs to scrape grid by grid on an aluminium can, slowly outlining a completely unique pattern. This creative process not only produces an eco-friendly little artwork, but also quietly leads people into a flow state, bringing a moment of rest and tranquillity.

Date: 2026.03.28

Timeslots: (1) 14:30 – 15:30 (2) 16:00 – 17:00

Venue: 15/F, Hong Kong Arts Centre

Host: Noah Deledda

The workshop will be conducted in English and Cantonese.

Note: Participants are required to bring their own 330ml soda can.

Artist Blind Dating

Open a blind box, and you might unexpectedly encounter artists Angel Hui, Michelle Fung or Craig Au-Yeung! This "blind box-style" artist meet-up date promises every participant pure surprise and discovery: you could hear an artist share their cross-generational art journey from the 1980s, or listen to insights on the evolution of contemporary art from the 1990s to today. No matter who you meet, it's a rare chance for close, in-depth conversation!

Date: 2026.03.28

Time: 15:00 – 16:00

Date: 2026.03.29

Time: 15:00 – 16:00
