Founded in 2022 by Queenie Rosita Law, Double Q is a contemporary art gallery located in the city centre of Hong Kong. The gallery’s name comes from Queenie’s nickname, "QQ," to express its commitment to creating an open and welcoming space for visitors of all ages. Our teams in Hong Kong and Budapest seek to identify exceptional artists who lack exposure in Asia and showcase their works in Hong Kong. For more information, please visit our website at www.doubleqgallery.com
We are currently looking for an organised and motivated individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will be friendly yet professional, has great communication skills, and a strong sense of dependability.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as the gallery’s first point of contact (greet visitors, handle phone calls). Welcome and orientate walk-in visitors while overseeing the safety of artworks
· Maintain a good understanding of our current exhibitions in order to explain the artist’s practice and concepts to visitors
· Perform basic administrative duties and support with day-to-day operations in the gallery, which include managing the reception and ensuring the space is clean, well-organized, and presentable
· Assist the team during gallery openings, art fairs and special events, which will occasionally require working after hours
· Assist in the installation, dismantling and packing of artworks during exhibition set up and closing
Requirements:
· Fresh graduates and entry-level applicants are encouraged to apply, preferably with a strong interest in contemporary art. Relevant degree in an art-related discipline is a bonus
· Excellent written and spoken skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
· Team player, proactive, cheerful with a positive working attitude
· Must be able to work on Saturdays and public holidays. Galley opening hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
· Available immediately
Interested parties please send your resume, date of availability, current and expected salary and availability to joanne@qartgroup.com.
Data collected will be used for recruitment purpose only.
