Ora-Ora is on the lookout for dynamic and passionate individuals to join our team as Gallery Intern. This is a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant world of contemporary art and contribute to various facets of gallery operations, including exhibition and event management.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
Assist the gallery manager with daily operations and administrative tasks.
Support gallery events and receptions, ensuring a smooth experience for attendees.
Assist with exhibition preparations, inventory record, research and coorindation, condition check and installation of works with manager
Contribute to content creation and marketing efforts, such as editing newsletters and drafting social media posts (e.g., Instagram, WeChat).
Maintain gallery organization through inventory updates, artist research, and cataloguing/archiving materials.
University students or recent graduates, preferably with a background in art history or related fields.
Strong writing and communication skills in both Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin) and English.
Previous internship experience in a gallery setting is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail, with proactive attitude to work.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva is an advantage
Experience in video editing and social media analytics tools is highly valued.
Availability to commit to 3-4 working days per week (including Saturdays).
