INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Since 1970 Flowers Gallery has represented international contemporary artists and estates, working with a wide range of media. After several years of running an office and exhibiting at fairs in Asia, the gallery opened a space in central Hong Kong in 2020. In 2023 the gallery commenced a series of US-based nomadic, artist-led projects and residencies, complementing programming in its London and Hong Kong spaces.
We are looking for an enthusiastic intern to join our Hong Kong team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist and manage daily operations of the gallery
* Responsible for administrative tasks, including handling walk-in clients/visitors, taking care of VIPs, email and phone enquiries, update database and gallery contacts, shipment orders, and inventory management
* Preparing upcoming exhibitions and art fairs, writing, editing and translating relevant materials
* Assist in planning, organising and installing the gallery’s exhibitions, art fairs, and art events
REQUIREMENTS
* University student or graduate, preferably in art-related subjects
* Excellent command of written and spoken English & Mandarin or English & Cantonese
* Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Mac platforms is preferred
* Organised with a strong eye for details and able to follow instructions in a timely manner
* Previous experience in the art field and immediate availability preferred
LOCATION/TIME
* 49 G/F, Tung Street, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong
* 11am - 6pm (Tuesdays to Saturdays, able to commit to 3 working days at least per week)
