Art of Nature Contemporary will present the exhibition, The Outsider from 28 May to 27 June 2026, as part of the French May Arts Festival.
Drawing conceptual inspiration from Albert Camus’ literary classic The Outsider, the exhibition begins with the idea of "the position of viewing", exploring how artists maintain a sense of distance across culture, language, identity and how this distance gives rise to new modes of perception.
The exhibition brings together 5 artists active across the European and Asian art scenes — Apolline Cordier, Cang Yuan, Ophelia Jacarini, Hong Zeiss, and Marc Tanguy. Through painting and visual practices, their works reflect shifting perspectives between inside and outside, offering a lens on contemporary experience.
