Ora-Ora

Ora-Ora is delighted to announce Korean artist Yi Yi Jeong-eun's second solo exhibition Being Zen. The exhibition will take place at Ora-Ora’s Tai Kwun space from 21 November 2024 - 4 January 2025. The range of works dives into the relationship between nature and humanity through Zen philosophy.

In Being Zen, Yi Yi's new works focus on nature as a living presence that reflects our human experiences. She moves beyond simply portraying landscapes. Rather, the artist invites viewers to engage with nature as an active participant in our journey towards self awareness. Her layered matiere painting technique creates vibrant and sculptural textures that capture the beauty and movement of the natural world.

By interpreting landscapes through Zen principles, Yi Yi Jeong-eun encourages us to connect with the environment and considers our place within it.

Through per paintings, Yi Yi Jeong-eun invites us to see nature not just as a subject but as a mirror for understanding ourselves. In Being Zen, each artwork serves as a reminder to embrace the present moment and the harmony we share with the world around us.
