Beginning 18 June, Blue Lotus Gallery presents City of Lights, a major exhibition spotlighting photographer Keith Macgregor’s remarkable archive of Hong Kong’s neon era. Captured throughout the 1990s and 2000s, these photographs illuminate the city’s once–dazzling skyline and electric street scenes, preserving the radiant signage that defined Hong Kong after dark. Launched alongside the exhibition is a newly published volume by Blue Lotus Editions, bringing this extraordinary body of work into print for the first time.Together, the exhibition and book form both a vivid visual record and a heartfelt tribute to a disappearing urban spectacle—when hand‑crafted neon signs bathed the city in color and transformed its streets into a glowing theatre of light.
