MOU PROJECTS is a Hong Kong-based contemporary art gallery established in 2019. Since its inception, the gallery has been dedicated to showcasing both local and international emerging artists working in all media and has held many of their first solo exhibitions in Hong Kong as well as in Asia.
We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented, organized, and vibrant individual to fill the role of a Gallery Intern to deepen insight into the art industry and gain hands-on experience in gallery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the daily operations and general office administration at the gallery;
• Assist with the installation and dismantling of exhibitions, which involves condition checks, art handling, and inventory management;
• Update artist archives, database, and website;
• Conduct artist research;
• Compile weekly reports on local art scene activities;
• Offer translation and writing support in both Chinese and English;
• Welcome and interact with gallery visitors;
• Support exhibition openings and other events.
Requirements:
• University students or recent graduates, preferably in an art-related field;
• A robust interest in contemporary art;
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English;
• A detail-oriented mindset complemented by excellent organizational abilities;
• An innovative problem solver who can adapt flexibly to various situations;
• Competence in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign;
• Candidates who are immediately available will be preferred.
Commitment:
The gallery operates from 11 am–7 pm, Tuesday–Saturday. Interns are expected to commit to this position for at least 2 months and be present for a minimum of 3 days a week.
