Contemporary by Angela Li is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team in the role of Gallerist. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the planning of exhibitions and to assist in the sale of exceptional artworks.
Responsibilities:
• Gallery Operations: Support daily operations and administrative functions within the gallery to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Digital Engagement: Manage the gallery's website and social media platforms, creating engaging content that promotes exhibitions and events.
• Visitor Engagement: Actively engage with gallery visitors, providing an outstanding docent experience and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
• Exhibition Preparation: Assist in the preparation of materials for exhibitions and art fairs, including research, design of invitations/catalogues, and translation of written content.
• Project Support: Contribute to ad-hoc projects and perform additional tasks as assigned by the team.
• Post-Sales Assistance: Provide excellent support to clients following the sale of artworks, ensuring a positive and lasting relationship.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
• Competence in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence and responsibility.
Working Hours:
10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
