ArtAsiaPacific is a Hong Kong-based, English-language publication dedicated to contemporary art from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The editorial assistant works closely with the magazine’s other editors, managing editor, and publisher in producing a bimonthly publication and digital content, as well as being involved with ArtAsiaPacific’s social media platform and other projects. This is a full-time, entry-level position with potential to grow within the magazine’s editorial team.
The successful applicant should have the following attributes:
• University degree in at least one of the following fields: art, art history, English literature, or journalism
• One year of experience in an editorial role and/or in the arts industry
• Excellent written and spoken English (written and spoken Cantonese or other Asian language a plus)
• Good organizational and communications skills
• Detail-oriented
• A strong researcher, able to critically analyze and synthesize information from a wide range of sources
• Able to generate creative editorial ideas
• Able to work with feedback and in collaboration with others
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Adept in social media and digital media
