Gallery Manager (Full-time)- La Galerie Paris 1839

Founded in 2014, La Galerie Paris 1839 is located in Central. La Galerie features contemporary art with a special focus on photographic fine art prints.
La Galerie, representing local and international artists, is one of the first artgalleries in Hong Kong specializing in photography.

Responsibilities:
Gallery Operations
• Work closely with Gallery Directors;
• Oversee daily operation of the gallery. Perform general administration such as invoicing, insurance, legal filing;
• Train and supervise gallery staff;
• Oversee exhibition production and installation & Work closely with artists;
• Maintain database, manage inventory and storage of artworks;
• Organize logistics for events such as opening reception, talk, art fairs and special events;
• Prepare marketing materials such as electronic catalogue and press kit – Develop marketing and advertising campaigns – Coordinate with local and international media, and art organizations;
• Develop and manage social media outlets and other online art platforms – Research and develop art online presentation and sales platform;
• Cultivate client relationship and follow up on potential sales interest – Sales and after sales service, inc. art and framing consultation;
• Reach out to potential collectors and new clients.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
• University degree in relevant fields;
• Strong interest in contemporary art and photography;
• Strong project management and team skills and multiple projects management;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages; Photoshop and AI would be preferred;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese, proficiency in Cantonese and Mandarin.
