Gallery Sales and Marketing Assistant

Join one of the most established local art galleries in Hong Kong, focusing on Contemporary Chinese Art. We are looking for a passionate team player with sales and marketing experience, along with a background in design and digital media.
Gallery Hours:
Monday – Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
(Work 5 days a week)
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain good client relations by notifying potential clients of particular works and exhibits according to their interests.
• Follow up with interested parties.
• Maintain an organized database.
• Manage the gallery website and social media platforms, including Mailchimp, WeChat, Little Red Book, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Keep information up to date on all websites.
• Post gallery happenings and newsletters.
• Create YouTube clips of relevant artists, talks, and events.
• Assist in the production design of catalogues.
• Assist in exhibition installation and art fair booth designs.
Requirements:
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and SketchUp.
• Experience in handling AV equipment and digital technologies is a plus.
• Immediate availability is highly preferred.
• Previous working experience in the art world is a plus.
Additional Responsibilities:
• Maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the gallery.
• Ensure the general appearance of the gallery is neat and tidy at the beginning and end of each day.
• Keep the director updated on all important details.
• Since the gallery staff is small, everyone is expected to pitch in and help each other during busy times.
• Flexible working hours are expected, especially during exhibitions and art fairs.
• Travel overseas may be required.
• Stay up to date with industry developments and market trends.
