Featuring Damien Zhang, Director of Aranya Art Center; Felix Kwok, Chief Creative Officer and Deputy Director of Shenzhen Design Bay; and Lam Sio Man, former Curator of Macao Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, this session examines the accelerating cultural expansion across the Greater Bay Area. 

From the opening of Aranya Art Center Guangzhou to the rise of new museums in Shenzhen, including Shenzhen Design Bay and ongoing developments in Hong Kong and Macau, their conversation offers a timely look at how these institutions are shaping the region’s evolving artistic ecosystem.As cities invest in new museums, cultural districts, and creative infrastructure, the discussion at Asia Society Hong Kong will explore the forces driving this growth and the changing roles of Hong Kong within an increasingly integrated GBA cultural landscape.

The panel will be moderated by Chris Wan Feng, Head of Gallery and Exhibitions, Asia Society Hong Kong Center.
