Special Opening Hours & Shuttle Bus Service - Xie Xiaoze: The Archaeology of Knowledge

27 Mar, 2025

11:00 am – 7:00 pm

"Xie Xiaoze: The Archaeology of Knowledge" Exhibition Site, Alisan Atelier, Tin Wan Praya Road, Aberdeen, Hong Kong, 2025

During Art Basel Hong Kong, Alisan Atelier will be open specially from March 27 (Thu) to March 30 (Sun), 10 AM – 7 PM, with a complimentary shuttle bus running every 20 minutes from the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre to Hing Wai Centre.

At Alisan Fine Arts' booth (3E03) at Art Basel Hong Kong, we continue our four-decade mission of showcasing the evolution of Chinese contemporary art. Through both our main booth presentation and a Ming Fay solo exhibition for Kabinett, we explore the cultural dialogue between tradition and innovation that defines Chinese art in a global context.

Meanwhile, Alisan Atelier's Xie Xiaoze: The Archaeology of Knowledge marks the artist's first solo exhibition in Hong Kong. This thought-provoking selection includes oil paintings, ink on paper, and resin and porcelain sculptures—primarily drawn from Xie’s acclaimed Chinese Library series and Amber of History series. These works excavate the ancient poetics and contemporary relevance of books and knowledge.

Concurrently, Alisan Atelier's The Archaeology of Knowledge is on view alongside Stanford Art Gallery’s Ashes of Memory and a solo exhibition at Tsinghua University Art Museum in Beijing, China.
