Type: Part-time, on-site, 2-4days per week
Duration: 6 month internship (paid)

About 3812 Gallery:
3812 Gallery is a leading contemporary Asian art gallery with spaces in London and Hong Kong. Committed to fostering cultural dialogue, the gallery represents a dynamic roster of established and emerging artists. We are currently seeking enthusiastic interns to join our Hong Kong team.

Position Overview:
This part-time internship, on-site role will support gallery operations and assist the art handling. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in art, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, thriving in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Art Handling and Exhibition Support
- Safely pack, unpack, and transport artworks in coordination with the Art Handler and team.
- Assist in the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, ensuring precise placement and alignment of artworks.
- Conduct condition reports and document the status of artworks before and after handling.
Collaborate with curatorial staff to prepare artworks for exhibitions, including framing and display setup.

Administrative Support
- Execute administrative tasks such as release forms, acknowledgment receipts, and database management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and viewing room, including managing gallery supplies.
- Support daily gallery operations: handling incoming calls, mailing, and logistics.
- Assist in preparing exhibition materials, including floor plans and artwork lists.

Candidate Profile:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Art, Business, or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in art handling, installation, or a related field is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy objects (>20kg per pieces) and work physically demanding tasks, including climbing ladders and working in various environments
- Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment related to art handling and installation
- Knowledge of art conservation and preservation techniques is a plus
- Previous experience in art galleries or museums is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin (verbal and written)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and word processing.
- A team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
