With gallery spaces in the heart of Hong Kong and London, 3812 has both Europe and China written into its DNA. Co-founded by Calvin Hui and Mark Peaker, 3812 represents and exhibits both modern and contemporary Chinese and British artists, fostering dialogues between them. The gallery regularly places their work in major public and private collections. 3812 continues to develop its vision through representing contemporary artists of various genres.
We are currently looking for a design intern to join our Hong Kong team.
Responsibilities:
• Designing graphic and multimedia projects for the gallery programs, including exhibition, art fair, pop-ups, events and sales presentation;
• Creating exhibition catalogues following the gallery’s style, and liaising with printing vendors to ensure deadlines and quality are met;
• Developing both print and digital materials for exhibition presentation and promotion, include but not limited to window/wall vinyl, posters, invites, leaflets, and supporting materials for gallery communication, such as EDMs, social media visual and Ads;
• Overseeing visual consistency across the gallery platforms and internal database;
• Generating exhibition and artwork renderings for art fair designs, sales proposals and framing;
• Performing other duties as assigned by founders and managers when deemed necessary
Requirements:
• University students or fresh graduates with interest in art; major in graphic design, multimedia design, creative media, or related disciplines;
• Previous working experience in art gallery, museum and other art institutions is preferred;
• Strong project management skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment;
• Proficiency in using design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, and PowerPoint;
• Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin in verbal and written;
• A good team player who is well-organized, result-oriented, proactive, multi-tasking and with good attention to detail;
• Have a can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile and able to work independent;
• Immediate availability preferred;
• The internship duration is 3-6 months, committed and capable candidate(s) will be considered for a full-time permanent role.
