In celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association is pleased to announce its annual fundraiser to be held at both Art Basel Hong Kong and Art Central from 25 to 29 May.

HKAGA is grateful for the support of participating galleries:

Introduced in 2020, the fundraiser inaugurated as an initiative to provide essential funding for the Association as well as timely support to the galleries and artists since over 50% of the sales proceeds were given back to participating galleries.

Every year, corporate sponsorships and fundraising activities including the annual fundraiser constitute to approximately 40% of the Association’s operation cost and projects. With the generous support from galleries, we were able to bring you the initiatives below:

• UNSCHEDULED | Independent art fair held at Tai Kwun (2020) and former TopShop (2021) created in response to the rise of COVID-19 that provided a platform for talents across the region to connect with the local audience; the 2021 edition also staged a spectacular showcase of HKBU students and teachers, as well as Hong Kong-based live art platform Per.Platform
• SUMMER PROGRAMME | Initiative that connected local art talents including artists, writers and curators to member galleries
• TOURS | Guided tours to exhibitions led by curators and academics
• GALLERY DAYS | Compilation of exhibitions and special events for gallery hoppers to visit according to district

As HKAGA enters its 10th year, we invite you to celebrate the milestones we have achieved together over the past decade. Your patronage contributes directly to the incubation and visibility of Hong Kong artists, as well as promoting the culture of art appreciation to a wider audience.
