Full-time Gallery Assistant – SC Gallery

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Gallery’s daily operations, including general office administration.
- Conduct artist and artwork introduction in a professional manner.
- Manage and maintain the inventory, circulations and distribution of artworks, including updating acquisition catalogue, sales records and database
- Organize and plan for upcoming exhibitions and art fair (longer hours may be required on installation and event days).
- Assist in planning and organizing events, e.g. exhibitions, education events.
- Preparing marketing and press material for upcoming exhibitions.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask during short and long term projects.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Degree or relevant qualifications in Art/Art History/ Art Management/Journalism or related field, also open to other qualifications as appropriate;
- Good command of spoken and written Cantonese, English & Mandarin;
-Excellent project- oriented skills, able to multitask on both short and long-term projects, preferably detail-oriented, organized and timely;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, knowledge in Photoshops/AI is an advantage;

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing upcoming gallery exhibitions
  • Responsible for keeping and organizing inventory
  • Conduct artist research, and other administrative assistance

Requirements:

We are looking for a full time Designer to join our team.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage overall design and visuals material for exhibitions, events and sales presentation, including but not limited to artist portfolios; exhibition (e-)invites, posters, leaflets, pamphlets, catalogues, window or wall text’s vinyl stickers and artwork labels; sales pitching documents and PowerPoints; gallery advertisements , communications visual, article and EDMs.
  • Produce printed material including poster, pamphlet, catalogue, stickers or any required materials to ensure deadlines are met for usages while materials are printed to the highest quality.
  • Communicate with existing vendors and reach out to new production to ensure printing and production work process smoothly.
  • Design and produce rendering for exhibition plans, art fair stand layouts, and artwork framing selections.
  • Support in creating and updating the preparation for online/offline promotional and sales materials.
  • Photography for events and photo keeping files.
  • Editing photos and videos of artwork, updating files in servers, cross checking quality for artwork images and arrange photo taking when it is required.
  • Archiving files and maintaining files consistency with established structures and branding standards.
  • Taking a proactive role in developing the gallery’s branding.
  • Assist in monitoring the presentation of the gallery branding and update graphics, content and layouts for the 3812 Gallery website.
  • Assist in ad hoc task(s) as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design with 2-3 years experience in related field.
  • Proficiency in Adobe illustrator / Photoshop / InDesign/ Premier/ Sketch Up/ Canva/ Microsoft office.
  • Well-organised, creative, confident, proactive, sociable and excellent attention to detail.
  • A good team player who is responsible, result-oriented, independent, able to multitask and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is essential.
  • Experience in events/exhibitions booth/event decoration design or equivalent.
  • Familiar with 3D model building for exhibitions rendering is preferred.
  • Printing / output experience is highly desirable.

We are looking for a full time Senior Executive (Sales & Marketing)/ Sales and Marketing Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the founders and align team on the global sales through the gallery space, exhibition, event and/or art fair.
  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve business targets, work as a team to strengthen the sales and marketing area.
  • Coordinate and build relationships with institutions and corporate partners to match the gallery branding.
  • Establish regional structure and processes to analyze and evaluate the trend, practice, and artwork collection.
  • Pursuing institutional relationships and other support that will lead to significant museum and curatorial project.
  • Develop the careers for a designated group of gallery artists by actively positioning and promoting their work with strategical proposal.
  • Assist the curators to coordinate exhibitions and related outreach programmes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Art/Cultural with at least 3 years experience, mature candidate will be consider to managerial position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Art, local and international art market, galleries artists and programme is a must .
  • A proven track record of sales, network of collectors including institutional is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin is essential.
  • Proficient with MS office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), artlogic, design tools.
  • Passionate for arts and culture and represent 3812 Gallery in a professional manner.
