Galerie du Monde is a Hong Kong-based contemporary art gallery founded in 1974. We are expanding our team and seeks an experienced, highly motivated individual to join the team to contribute in the gallery’s daily operations, exhibition planning and execution. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor of Arts degree, a team player and strong interest in contemporary art with at least 4 years of related working experience. Superior communication, interpersonal skills and time management are required.
Responsibilities
- Planning, organizing, presenting and marketing exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations
- Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the gallery
- Providing a high level of hospitality and visitor experience
- Take charge in the preparation for gallery viewings, coordinate installation of artworks, prepare presentation documents
- Arranging transportation of work to and from the gallery, both nationally and internationally
- Assist with art fair preparations
- Training and supervising gallery associates and interns
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Arts degree, in arts or humanities studies preferable
- At least 4 years of working experience
- Proficiency in Excel, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, SketchUp
- Excellent communication, collaborative and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written English and Chinese
- Excellent customer service skills
