Pearl Lam Galleries is seeking an experienced Logistics and Shipping Manager. Candidate must be accustomed working in an extremely fast-paced environment, must possess excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment, and be extremely detail-oriented, courteous and professional.
Job Description:
– Accurate management of gallery inventory by maintaining artwork records within the gallery database by ensuring records are consistent, up-to-date and accurate at all times
– Coordinate local, domestic and international shipments of artworks for art fairs and exhibitions
– Plan/ initiate transports and ensure correct commercial documents for customs.
– Assist to art handling team in packing and crating artworks for storage and shipping
– Assist to uncrate and unpack artworks for condition check
– Partner with art handling team on stocktake/check and storage location follow up
– Assist exhibition team with art fairs and exhibitions
– Deliver professional and efficient post-sales service to our global clientele
– Oversee and process service provider invoices with required approvals
– Stock and order all necessary packing materials as needed
Requirements:
– 2 years of experience in logistics and shipping (best to be in fine art industries)
– Detail oriented with the ability to handle multiple, complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
– Knowledge of fine-art suppliers, modes of transport, import and export compliance is preferable
– Understanding of VAT, sales tax and insurance relating to shipments
– Hands on (un)packing/crating experience
Working hours: 10:00 – 19:00
