Gallery Director | Kiang Malingue

Kiang Malingue is a contemporary art gallery in Hong Kong showing emerging and established artists.

We are currently seeking a high-calibre candidate to join our team as Gallery Director. The candidate will be responsible for developing the gallery’s artistic strategies and its day-to-day operations. The Gallery Director will be an integral part of the senior leadership of the gallery and will report to the gallery co-founders.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

– master degree or higher qualifications in Art History, Cultural Studies, Cultural Management or other relevant fields;

– at least 10 years of experience in galleries, museums or other comparable institutions;

– at least 5 years of managerial experience;

– possess professional knowledge in the latest developments in global contemporary art, art market, and exhibition making;

– have strong management and leadership skills and proven ability to work with a team of staff; be able to make decisions and multitask in a fast-moving environment;

– have a high level of discretion and responsibility regarding administrative matters and project management;

– have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
