Registrar | Edouard Malingue Gallery

Edouard Malingue Gallery was founded in Hong Kong in 2010 to build a critical dialogue between Asian and international contemporary artists, both emerging and established, who combine aesthetic concern with conceptual enquiry, and work across different disciplines from video and installation to painting and sound.

We are currently seeking an experienced Registrar. The candidate will work with the teams in both Hong Kong and Shanghai and be responsible for:
– Coordinate shipping logistics and customs procedures
– Coordinate, procure and negotiate quotes from shippers, art handlers and vendors
– Manage our storage in Tin Wan
– Packing artworks and writing condition reports
– Coordinate viewings and arrange for framing and restoration as required
– Maintaining and managing inventory and database
– Documentation of artwork conditions
– Basic installation skills required
– Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
– Other ad-hoc-tasks as required

You are required:
– Proficiency in Art Logic Database, Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Mac platform
– Previously experience in a logistic company will be an advantage.
– Experience in handling AV equipment and digital technologies is a plus

Studio located in Aberdeen with the new gallery space open this Autumn in Wanchai. The working hours are from Monday to Friday, 10 am to 7 pm with an hour lunch break. Immediate availability is preferable.
