Senior Gallery Officer / Assistant Gallery Manager – Kwai Fung Hin Art Gallery

This candidate is expected to assist with gallery marketing and event operation as well as client experience enhancement. A candidate with an art background/experience is preferred.

Job Description 

Job Title: Senior Gallery Officer / Assistant Gallery Manager

Report to: Gallery Manager, Business Development

Location: Tai Kwun, Central, Hong Kong

Probation: 3 months

Working hours: 5.5 days/ week. Saturday is mandatory. Staff can take turns to have Monday or other weekdays off.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Gallery’s daily operations, including general office administration
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging visitors in the art space and programs
• Conduct artist and artwork introduction in a professional manner
• Work closely with the marketing department to implement marketing and event strategies to increase sales, e.g., promotion material preparation, website, and social media platform maintenance
• Assist in planning and organizing events, including exhibitions, education programs, etc.
• Assist management in formulating CRM strategies and growing data analytics function to cater for long-term growth on sales and client journey experience enhancement.
• Support all gallery related events, e.g., art fairs, education events, special exhibitions at other venues
• Staff are required to travel to art fair when necessary

Requirements 

• 4+ years’ experience at the art gallery, institution experience preferred.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Good problem-solving skills
• Graphic design/editing skills for marketing collateral is a plus
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible
• Immediate availability preferred

Gallery opening hours 

• Monday to Saturday 10 am – 7 pm
