Social Media Coordinator (Part-time)

Blindspot Gallery is seeking a creative, forward-thinking, and organized social media freelancer to join our growing team. You must be able to create consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms as well as formulate a timely social media strategy with clear messaging.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Build and execute social media content through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
• Collaborate with our team to write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling
• Generate, edit, publish and share on a regular basis
• Build meaningful connections and encourage community members through dialog and messaging
• Maintain company social media pages and profiles
• Moderate user-generated content and messages appropriately, based on company and community policies
• Assist Manager to create and implement social media marketing plan and editorial calendar
• Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes

Social Media Specialist Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in arts and design, or related fields
• Familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Knowledge of project management and web design preferable
• Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase the effectiveness of social media campaigns
• Strong written and verbal communication skill

Set up in 2010, Blindspot Gallery is a Hong Kong-based contemporary art gallery. The gallery began with a primary focus on contemporary photography and image-based art, and has evolved to include diverse media in contemporary art. The gallery represents both emerging and established artists, mainly from Hong Kong and the region but also beyond.
